I’ve been going to Joy for over 20 years, and I honestly can’t imagine trusting anyone else with my hair. ❤️Over the years, Joy has gotten to know my hair, what works for me, and how to keep it looking beautiful and healthy. Tyrell is an experienced stylist who always makes each visit feel personal while staying highly professional. I am a girl who knows NOTHING about hair. I had a Paul Mitchell disaster and Tyrell fixed me and my life. I was a last minute client and I was so grateful that Tyrell was available. I had zero inspo pictures, only a vision… He executed my vision FLAWLESSLY!!!! I waited a month to see how my hair would be after and oh my god it’s still so flawless. If you don’t know anything about hair and need someone you can trust, someone who will make you look like a DIVA? Tyrell is a phenomenal superstar and is very talented and intelligent. I received a beauitful color and highlight with Rozlyn. I am a brunette that originally came in with brassy over bleached hair that was spotty from a different salon I visited. Rozlyn knew exactly what to do to correct the color and bring me back to my original brunette tone with beautiful highlights that camouflage some new greys. I've been going to Benhaz for years now and she helped me get my hair healthy again after years of bleaching and extensions. Recently, I cut off about 3 inches and she made my hair look fabulous as always.

I was staying in Folsom for a few days from out of state, and I saw the salon was taking walk-ins. I stopped in and very easily set up an appointment to touch up my roots. The manager or owner, not sure which, was SO accommodating. I had such a nice time with my stylist, Daisy. She did an awesome job, and she is so genuinely kind, and funny, and easy to talk to. And her neighboring stylist Tyrell was also so welcoming, and genuine. It was supposed to be just a quick check off on my to-do list but it turned into a very lovely and memorable experience full of compliments (blush 🤗) and connection.Thank you again, Daisy and Tyrell 💛

Joy is honestly the only person I trust with my hair. Even when I lived on the East Coast, I would fly back every few months for my trim and color. She’s honest about what style would look best and I’ve never been disappointed. One of my favorite things about this location is actually the home decor. Joy has such a beautiful assortment of stoneware vases, pots, and dried florals. She even helped put together a beautiful arrangement for my dining table. It was such a fun experience getting to style pieces for my new home while my color was processing. Definitely recommend stopping by!

The owner of this salon really knows business. I have been a client for almost 20 years. I have followed her as she has opened several salons in Sacramento. Not only does she have experience, but she only hires the best stylists. As a client over the years, I have observed an environment where stylists are treated like family, but also encouraged to take classes to not only learn the best and newest techniques, but also to grow and refine their craft. Behnaz created an amazing hair transformation! My hair was a dark black-brown (90% Gray and used Semi-Permanent Color) and Behnaz was able to customize my hair color to a beautiful medium brown. I was in desperate need of a new cut that fit my busy lifestyle without resorting to just pulling it back in a ponytail all day every day. This salon and Behnaz was exactly what I needed. She listened to where I was struggling, looked at the photos of what appealed to me and then talked to me about what would work better for my hair texture and willingness to spend the time with products and tools. Beautiful location with great buzzy energy. Plenty of parking at located near some great cafes and restaurants. The cut is perfect and I'm very happy with the result. Easy booking and payments.

Tyrell is an amazing stylist! His men's cut is just what I needed. I'm someone who is very low maintenance when it comes to styling and long hair is new to me. I came from shaved sides and a long top and then decided to have a full head of long hair. Tyrell helped me transition through each phase and together understand my individual hair type. Each cut different according to how the hair has grown. The way he cuts movement into the hair makes styling so effortless. And before Tyrell I didn't know I had wavy hair let alone how to style it. But knowing that I'm low maintenance the one product he recommended me is now my go to make the cut shine through in an easily effortless way while looking elevated. Definitely would recommend as your new stylist!

I recently saw Gina Pole, a Master Stylist, and my results were amazing. She listened to my concerns, which was “help!”. My recent highlights (fry lights) had to be corrected. Gina toned my hair, used a gentle Keratin and cut off the fried ends. The whole time she explained what she was doing and why she was doing it. I felt comfortable with her and have seen her twice already. I’ve made my next appointment with her for a body wave. Since she’s a Master Stylist and educator, she knows which products to use for my hair, highlights, Keratin and soon body waves.

If you're looking for a consistently great hairstylist, I can't recommend Gina enough! I've been going to her for over a year now, and I am just as happy and satisfied with her work today as I was on my first visit. I absolutely love her. Both of the salon's locations are very nice, clean, and inviting. I Love P1! It's not just a service but a wonderful experience. I would drive 100 miles for him!!!!

P1 is an artist. I’ve been pondering this review for several weeks because I think his talent is worth an official review. I have been going to P1 for the greater part of 25 years, and I thought his skill was top notch even as a young stylist. I don’t know what Aveda’s policy is now but years ago they required new stylists to work as “interns” where a senior stylist oversaw their work and they also required additional classes. So, 25 years ago I felt confident a young Aveda stylist would probably be better than the run-of-the-mill stylist. I was right. Above and beyond the Aveda training the one thing I believe that separates P1 from others is his ability to identify a cut or style that best suits your facial structure and other physical attributes (or deficits). I asked P1 to cut my hair after having let it grow to my shoulders. As a 75-year-old I wore it in a bun almost all the time but decided I needed a mini makeover, so I called P1. I have aged pretty well and although I was never a 10 in my youth I at least was certainly above average in looks and able to turn heads. I have good hair and have had a couple of great hairstylists in the past as well. In my 20s and 30s on a few occasions women chased me down through shopping malls and high-rise buildings where I worked in Century City to find out where I had my hair done and at 5’9” I was always complimented on how well I wore clothes and how stylish I was. However, through the aging process I became “invisible”. I felt that people were typically looking over my head or around me -- which is a rather discouraging ,even depressing experience. But after this new hair style from P1 that has changed. I’m not suggesting I am seen as anything other than a senior citizen grandmother. But I feel acknowledged now, and on 2 occasions while shopping women stopped and asked where and who cut my hair -- and I get compliments all the time. Even repeat compliments like “I really do love your hair” are an often occurrence. And the frosting on the cake is that this is probably this easiest style I have ever had – it falls into place with a quick brush when I get out of bed. And when I said P1 is an artist, he behaves like one – he’ll sit and examine the lengths, and make miniscule adjustments to make it “just right”. I can’t recommend P1 enough – and the fact that I now drive 150 miles to get my haircut by him should, on its own, be a strong recommendation. A final note: don’t be confused by his name. He is originally from Thailand (and speaks English fluently with a slight accent) and his last name is a mile long. When he and his brother arrived in the US, Americans were lazy and decided P1 and P2 were easier for them to say rather than using their given names. And those names stuck. I hope you thoroughly enjoy your haircut and style by P1.

I had my haircut and color done by P1 and WOW—he absolutely delivered.After being told by a previous stylist that I “couldn’t” have bangs because my hair was too thin, P1 proved that completely wrong. He listened to what I wanted, was honest about the results, and made it work beautifully. My hair came out bouncy, shiny, and better than I imagined.I also appreciated that when I wanted to go super short, he suggested starting a little longer and working our way down—such a smart, professional approach. You can tell he really cares about doing things right, not just rushing through a cut.The whole experience was great—P1 was easy to talk to, used high-end products, and zero pressure to buy anything.
