Armando Ponce is a Senior Stylist and experienced cosmetology educator at Salon Bravissimo in Sacramento, bringing decades of professional experience in hairstyling, advanced education, client service, and stylist development. After owning a salon in Aptos, California, Armando returned to Sacramento and became a Market Trainer for JCPenney, supporting a district of 12 stores while training salon professionals in customer service, product knowledge, technical skills, and sales development. His store visits contributed to salon sales increases of more than 15%. Driven by his passion for education, Armando went on to teach future beauty professionals at Federico Beauty Institute, Paul Mitchell The School Sacramento, and the Sacramento City College Cosmetology Department. With advanced education from Sassoon Academy and extensive experience as a hairstylist, salon owner, trainer, and instructor, Armando brings a distinctive combination of technical expertise, mentorship, and real-world salon experience to every client at Salon Bravissimo.

“From the beginning of my career, I’ve believed that education is one of the most powerful ways to grow—not only as a hairstylist, but as a person. I sought out hair shows, advanced training, and education at Sassoon Academy because I wanted to continually challenge myself and make a meaningful difference in our industry. That passion eventually took me from behind the chair to salon ownership, professional training, and cosmetology education, but I have always remained connected to what I love most: working with clients and helping people look and feel their best. Today, I bring everything I’ve learned as a stylist, salon owner, trainer, and educator back to the chair. Every client gives me another opportunity to listen, create, educate, and make a difference. Double Process Bleach

Stylists use double process color to lighten the hair by two or more shades in one session. The colorist will first bleach the hair completely, then tone it to create your desired shade.

Color Correction

Color Correction service aims to "correct" the tone or color. Whether your hue is too light, dark, cool-toned, or warm-toned, your colorist will create a hair color correction plan specifically for your hair's needs. Color correction may need to be done in many different scenarios including uneven color, brass, or banding. $120 - $200 per hour depending on stylist. Average range 3 to 5 hours depending on length of hair and complexity of removing previous hair color and lightening hair. Stylists that have assistants are able to perform service in shorter duration of time but have higher hourly rate. Consultation and deposit required.
