The best hair extensions are the ones nobody can tell are extensions. Getting there starts with choosing the right method for your hair, your goals and your budget. Here is how the options we offer at Salon Bravissimo compare, what each one costs, and what to expect before you book.

What are the main types of hair extensions?
There are four methods on our menu. Each one attaches differently, so each suits a slightly different goal:
- Smart Tab: a taping method that lies flat and seamless in the hair
- I-Tip: small, color-matched copper tubes that hold each strand
- MicroTip / Nano: the smallest, most discreet attachment we offer
- Sew-in weft: wefts of hair sewn in by the row
How do Smart Tab, I-Tip, MicroTip and sew-in compare?
| Method | How it works | A good fit when you want | Starting price |
|---|---|---|---|
| Smart Tab | Medical-grade tape tabs that lie flat and seamless. The remy hair can be reapplied up to 3 times. | Added length, volume or highlights with a seamless feel | 14" from $1,000 |
| I-Tip | Small copper tubes in colors that match your hair. They are flat, comfortable and nearly invisible, and they are easy to adjust as your hair grows out. | Length, volume, highlights or lowlights that stay comfortable | 14" from $1,000 |
| MicroTip / Nano | The smallest extensions on the market, applied so finely they look natural. | Filling in thinning areas, for women and men | $300 per hour |
| Sew-in weft | Wefts of hair sewn in, priced by the row. | Fuller coverage, built row by row | $250 for the first row, $150 for each additional row |
Prices are starting prices. Your extensions specialist confirms your price at your consultation.
What does an extensions transformation look like?
These two results show the same idea at different starting points: hair made longer, fuller and sleeker, with the color blended to match. In each image the before is on the left and the after is on the right.

What can hair extensions do for my hair?
Extensions are not only about length. Depending on the method and the plan you make at your consultation, they can:
- Add length, volume or both
- Add highlights or lowlights without coloring your own hair
- Make updos easier and fuller
- Create or change the shape of a haircut
- Help correct a cut you are growing out
- Bring in custom color for fun or creative looks
How much do hair extensions cost?
Cost depends on the method, the length you choose and who installs them. These are the starting prices from our menu:
| Service | What is included | Starting price |
|---|---|---|
| I-Tip or Smart Tab with our Master Extensions Specialist | Full customization, cut and styling. Deposit required. | 14" from $1,400 18" from $1,800 22" from $2,200 |
| I-Tip or Smart Tab installation | Includes the extensions cut and style. | 14" from $1,000 18" from $1,400 22" from $1,800 |
| Fill-in | Added strands for fullness. | $10 per strand |
| MicroTip / Nano with our Master Extensions Specialist | Billed by the hour. | $300 per hour |
| Sew-in weft | Priced by the row. | $250 first row, $150 each additional row |
What do maintenance and removal cost?
Extensions need care as your hair grows. I-Tip maintenance, I-Tip removal and Smart Tab maintenance or removal are each billed by the hour at $200 per hour. The hair itself can be reused: Smart Tab hair up to 3 times, and I-Tip hair because the copper tubes do not damage the extension hair or your own.
Are hair extensions safe for my hair?
Smart Tab and I-Tip are safe for all hair types, and MicroTip can be applied to all hair types. Every set is custom blended, strand by strand, to your hair and your goals, so the extensions look and feel like your own. Your specialist will tell you honestly which method suits your hair best and how to care for it.
What happens at the consultation?
Salon Bravissimo offers a complimentary consultation before you decide. Your extensions specialist looks at your hair, talks through the look you want (more length, more volume, added color or all three) and recommends the technique that fits. This is also the time to ask how long the set will last, what maintenance to plan for and what your total will be.
Where can I get hair extensions?
Extensions are available at all three Salon Bravissimo locations: Fair Oaks Blvd and Howe Ave in Sacramento, and Historic Folsom. See all four methods and the full price list on our Hair Extensions page, then book online or call (916) 972-7273 to schedule your consultation.
